Cultivate Gratitude With These Soothing Harvest Scents
Fighting Skin Cancer: In Honor of Jimmy Buffet
Everyone loved Jimmy Buffet… especially us Floridians. Recently, the music legend passed away after battling Merkel Cell Carcinoma, which spread to his lymph nodes.
According to BloqUV, “Skin cancer is a medical condition where skin cells grow abnormally. Abnormal skin cell growth can occur for many reasons. But the primary one is mutations to skin cell DNA. These mutations happen due to a complex interplay between genes and lifestyle factors. However, the majority of skin cancers come about because of overexposure to UV light from the sun or tanning beds.”
Even in the cooler months, protecting your skin against sun damage couldn’t be more important. To learn more about how you can proactively defend against the disease that takes dozens of Americans from us daily, check out this helpful article by BloqUV.
