Celebrate The Smart Way: Healthy Holiday Meal Options

Let’s be real: everyone loves a good tray of brownies until you eat one too many and feel sick for the next 3 days! Holiday deserts can be tricky because while they’re sure to be delicious, they don’t always nourish our bodies with the nutrients we need to thrive.

Lucky for you, I’ve discovered a recipe that I think you’ll love! It’s warm, caramelized, and has the perfect level of sweetness to satisfy your cravings without making you feel less than your best. Are you ready?!!

It’s grilled peaches! Check it out:


  • 4 ripe peaches, halved and pitted
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable or canola oil
  • Vanilla ice cream for serving
  • Honey for drizzling
  • Flaky sea salt



  1. Heat grill to medium-high.
  2. Brush peaches with oil and grill cut-side down, until soft, 4 to 5 minutes.
  3. Flip skin-side down and grill until almost falling apart, 4 to 6 minutes more.
  4. Serve with ice cream, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkling of flaky sea salt.

If that doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, I’ve got you covered with a delicious variation on a classic: Banana Split Kebabs!


  • 2 bananas, cut into 1″ pieces
  • 24 – 1″ pieces pineapple
  • 12 large strawberries, rinsed, dried, and halved
  • 2 c. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. peanuts, chopped


  1. Make kebabs: Thread two pieces of each banana, pineapple, and strawberry onto a skewer. Repeat the process to assemble 23 more skewers. Place all on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely smooth.
  3. Drizzle chocolate over fruit kebabs and top with chopped peanuts. Freeze until ready to serve.
