Thanksgiving is coming, and it’s a time to enjoy a great meal with family and friends. But just how much will this meal set you back? Try to keep the following infographic in mind while you make your plate. But don’t feel bad about enjoying the day — a little bit of compromise will go a long way.

Healthy Thanksgiving Meal Swaps

Another way to make healthy choices this holiday is to switch out a few trusted entrees with nutritious alternatives. The recipes below are some of our favorites:
Air Fryer Crispy Potatoes
These crunchy, golden brown potatoes will work as a side to almost any main dish. Find the full recipe by clicking here.
  • Halved baby potatoes, 1 pound
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedge and parsley for garnish
  1. Toss potatoes with oil and seasonings
  2. Place in air fryer for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Shake and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes.
  3. Garnish with lemon and parsley to serve!

Parmesan Brussel Sprout Salad
This salad is a delicious way to bring a good amount of nutrients to your Thanksgiving table. For the full recipe, click here.
  • 2 pounds of Brussel sprouts, halved and thinly sliced
  • ½ cup almonds, chopped and toasted
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds
  • 5 tbsp. olive oil
  • 5 tbsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper taste
  1. Whisk together oil, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Toss Brussel sprouts in the mixture until fully coated.
  3. Let sit, tossing occasionally, for 4 hours before serving
  4. Add almonds and pomegranate seeds and enjoy!
